Changing the Landscape of Health Research across the Northern Territory.
The Central Australia Academic Health Science Network (CAAHSN) is an NHMRC-accredited Research Translation Centre working to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes for Aboriginal people in Central Australia and the Barkly.
We bring together Aboriginal communities, health services, researchers, universities and partners to undertake strategic, collaborative research that responds to priorities identified by our members and communities – and translates evidence into real-world impact.
We are guided by Aboriginal leadership and strong partnerships with communities and stakeholders. Our approach focuses on respectful engagement, two-way learning and building capability to support meaningful, culturally informed research.
We support translational research that responds to regional priorities and strengthens research capability across organisations. We connect partners, support Aboriginal researcher development and help ensure evidence is applied in practice.
We support research that reflects community priorities and contributes to stronger capability and coordination across the region. Our work helps inform decisions, improve services and support better outcomes.
